Competing, Clinics, Scholarships

There are 4 levels of riding at Louw Stables. and other ways to benefit from being a student at Louw Stables.

 

1- Beginning- learning the basic skills of riding and horsemanship.  Building confidence and a solid foundation through the walk and trot and canter.

 

2- Intermediate/Advanced- developing the basic skills, learning specific techniques through equitation patterns.  Learning how to communicate with the horse.

 

3- Academy Show- beginning level horse shows where you don't have to own a horse.  Our lesson horses are used to educate the rider on competing.  Shows are held on and off the property.

 

4- Class "A" Show- Intermediate/advanced level horse showing where you own or lease a horse and show throughout the Midwest.

 

Clinics- we invite clinicians to come and give individual or group tutorials.  All are at the top of their industry and have a great amount knowledge to offer.

 

Scholarships- The United Professional Horsemans Association, United States Equestrian Federation, American Saddlebred Association and many others offer scholarship to young men and woman.
